Indian Mugger
Mugger or Marsh crocodiles are commonly found across the country with high preference for shallow waters in lakes, rivers, marshes and small ponds.
These are medium sized ( growing upto 16 ft) broad snouted crocodiles. The crocodiles lay their eggs on muddy banks and take care of the young ones for upto a year. They can at times even be seen on land migrating from one water body to another. The babies feed on insects while the adults feed on Mammals, birds, fishes & reptiles. Tee muggers are also found commonly sharing their habitat with the narrow snouted Gharials.

Spectacled Cobra
One of the most majestic snakes, The spectacles cobra are found across the indian subcontinent, which is equally feared and respected while being famous as the snake charmer’s pet. The snake is one of the four big venomous snakes and responsible for a high number of fatalities due to its preference for rats which are normally found around human habitations. The snake has a very conspicuous hood mark representing false eyes located at the rear. The snakes can also hiss quite loudly while trying to warn on any expected close encounter.
The food mainly consists of Rats, Birds, Eggs, Frogs, toads, insects & other reptiles.
